PR – National Multiple Sclerosis Society, Blue Ridge Chapter, Recognizes Ivy Publications with the 2011 Public Relations Award

CHARLOTTESVILLE, VA (October 2011) – The National Multiple Sclerosis Society, Blue Ridge Chapter, presented Ivy Publications with the Public Relations award during the annual 2011 Annual Meeting on October 4. The award was presented in recognition of those who have gone the extra mile to promote public awareness of the NMSS mission and to publicize special events during the past year. Ivy Publications received this award for donating donated advertising to the Bike MS: Tour de Vine online and in their Charlottesville Welcome Book.

Last year Ivy Publications awarded more than $80,000 in advertising to organizations, including Camp Holiday Trails, Paramount Theater, Virginia Festival of the Book, Martha’s Market, PBS, Toy Lift, BAMA Works and the UVA Art Museum, to name a few.

The event commenced with a moving presentation of medical milestones achieved in MS research for new treatments by Dr. Myla Goldman of the James Q. Miller MS Clinic of the University of Virginia Health System.
